MARBLE MOUNTAIN IN DA NANG

Marble Mountains or Non Nuoc Mountain is the common name of a landscape of 5 limestone mountains raised on a sandy beach, on an area of about 2 km2. It included Moc Son, Thuy Son (large, tall and most beautiful), Hoa Son (with two tops, Duong Hoa Son and Am Hoa Son) and Tho Son. Marble Mountains is located about 8 km southeast of Da Nang, now in Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City, Vietnam. Marble Mountains is a impressive point of travel Da nang.

Kim Son

Kim Son is located in the north of 2 tops of Hoa Son, the southeast is Su Van Hanh street and the north is Tho Son mountain. The mountain looks like a bell, between Hoa Son and Tho Son and and beside the Truong river stretches the Han River.

Moc Son

Moc Son is located in the southeast and parallel to Thuy Son. The east and the south are sandy, the north is the field and the west is the village. There is no temple on this mountain, only a white marble masses look like sitting.

Thuy Son

Thuy Son in the northeast is the most beautiful mountain with approximately areas 15 hectares, about 160 meters high. Tam Thai Pagoda and Linh Ung Pagoda are two beautiful pagodas of Thuy Son.

Vong Giang Dai is a high point of view of Cam Le river, Co Co and can see panorama of mountains in Marble Mountain. It has a circumference of about 7m, in the middle is an ancient stone stele of Tra Kieu stone about 2m high, 1m wide and based on a large stone. Standing in Vong Giang Dai, visitors will see the scenery below the foot of the mountain, fine art stone village and mighty Truong Son Mountains in faraway

Vong Hai Dai, also known as sea watching stations located on the eastern of Ha Thai top, next to Xa Loi tower and Linh Ung pagoda. It has a circumference of about 7m, in the middle, there is an ancient stone stele of Tra Kieu stone about 2m high, 1m wide and based on a large stone. Standing in Vong Hai Dai, visitors will see beach, Cu Lao Cham and further to Son Tra Peninsula

Tam Thai Pagoda is located on a flat campus, with a circumference of about 200m. The pagoda was built in the same time as the old town of Hoi An. In 1825, the pagoda was honored by Emperor Minh Mang. To the west of Thuy Son Mountain, one of the five famous mountains of Ngu Hanh Son. Tam Thai Pagoda is like “Sao Tam Thai” which means 3 stars made into the tail of the Great Bear. When arriving in Vong Giang, tourists can see the sight of the river Cam Le. Visitors from the sea area want to visit Linh Ung Pagoda have to step up about 108 levels, if visitors come to Tam Thai Pagoda in the south, visitors have to go further than the 156 levels.

In addition, visitors can also visit Hoa Nghiem Cave, Huyen Khong Cave, Van Thong Cave, Thien Long Cave, Tang Chon Cave,… are also prominent places of Marble Mountain tour.

Hoa Son

Hoa Son in the southwest, opposite to Kim Son and on the left of Su Van Hanh street. This is a double mountain, consisting of a Ying and a Yang, and connected by a natural stone raised up.

Tho Son

Tho Son is located north of Kim Son and west of Thuy Son. It is the lowest but also the longest mountain, which looks like a dragon lying on the sand. The west of Tho Son is Ba Cha river.

Non Nuoc Beach

There is a 5km long coastal with cool hills under Marble Mountains. It have white sand beach smooth, sloping gentle and smooth waves. Sea water is not polluted, clean, attract tourists home and aboard to Da Nang travel. The characteristics of the Non Nuoc beach are wave, climate, weather, salinity … so it is suitable for the type of sport on the sea, especially surfing. Non Nuoc beach also has many fresh seafood specialties such as squid, shrimp, crab, snail … for you to enjoy. There are rare algae species such as Gracilaria verrucosa, Kappaphicus alvarezii with high export value.

Non Nuoc stone carving village

Non Nuoc stone carving village is located at the foot of Ngu Hanh Son Mountain in Hoa Hai Ward – Ngu Hanh Son District, it was formed in 18^th century by a craftsman from Thanh Hoa named Huynh Ba Quat founder. The material that makes the product is marble. It is very beautiful and luxurious.

Along with Ba Na hills Da nang, Son Tra Peninsula, Marble Mountains is considered as an attractive destination for tourists when coming to the Central of Viet Nam on the journey to explore the world heritage.
