KEY EVENTS AT HUE FESTIVAL 2018

A wide range of stirring, large-scaled celebrations and programs will be taken place during the six days of the Festival:

Grand Opening Ceremony: April 27 (20:00), at Noon Gate Square.
Nam Giao Offering Ritual: April 27 (03:00), at Nam Giao Esplanade.
Artistic program “Royal Hue’s Essence”: April 28 & 30 (19:15-21:15), at the Imperial City.
Royal banquets: from April 27 to May 2 (19:30), at the Royal Theatre –Imperial City.
Street performances themed “Cultural Colours”: from April 28 to May 1 (16:00), along main streets of the city centre:

April 28: Inauguration at An Dinh Palace – Hung Vương Street – Dong Da Street – Ly Thương Kiet Street.

April 29: City Cultural Center – Tran Hung Dao Street – Phan Dang Luu Street.

April 30: Provincial Culture & Information Center – Hung Vuong Street – Festival Center for Tourism Services.

May 1: Hoa Binh (Peace) Gate – Dang Thai Than Street – Doan Thi Diem Street – Mai Thuc Loan Street – Dinh Tien Hoang Street – Ham Nghi Court.

National competition of ritual singings “Chầu văn and Hát văn”: from April 26 to April 29 (19:00), at the Provincial Culture & Information Center.
Trinh Cong Son’s music concert: April 28 (19:00-21:00), at Phu Van Lau Park.
Spectacle “Echoes from the Perfume River”: April 29 (20:00), on the confluence of the Perfume and Gia Hoi River – Trinh Cong Son Park.
Spectacle “Enlightened Faith” by the Provincial Buddhism Association: May 1 (20:00), at the Da Vien Bridge’s Park.
Concert “Ballads of Hue”: May 1 (19:00), at the Provincial Culture & Information Center.
Closing Ceremony: May 2 (20:00), at Noon Gate Square.
